About the Course
Designed for students of all ages and backgrounds who want to build a strong foundation in understanding the Qur’an, this course introduces the essential sciences related to the Book of Allah. Students will study how the Qur’an was revealed, compiled, and preserved, along with the differences between Makki and Madani verses, its major themes, and the basic principles scholars use to understand and interpret it. The course provides the structured knowledge needed to approach the Qur’an with clarity, confidence, and a deeper sense of appreciation.
Meet Your Instructor Shaykh Muhammed Elshaikh (Almadani)
Imam Muhammed Elshaikh is an Imam and Islamic scholar born in the blessed city of Madinah. He received his foundational Islamic education under the guidance of respected scholars at the Prophet’s Mosque, where he completed a Bachelor’s degree in Shariah. He later earned a Master’s degree in Shariah from the International Islamic University of Minnesota. Alongside his formal studies, he continued learning the Islamic sciences through close study with scholars, focusing on building both sound knowledge and practical understanding. His main area of research is the Fiqh of Muslim Minorities, a field within Contemporary Fiqh that addresses the religious and ethical challenges Muslims face in diverse societies. Imam Muhammed has received authorization in the Ten Qiraat as well as multiple individual Qiraat from well known Quran teachers at the Prophet’s Mosque. He also holds several authorizations in Hadith from scholars in Madinah and other parts of the Muslim world. Through this course, he looks forward to sharing authentic knowledge and helping students strengthen their understanding of the Islamic sciences and their connection to Allah inshaAllah.
